When was the last time you got an egg cracked over your head or was led blind folded through a circuit? It’s hard to find a place in society today where you can just hang out and have good fun. It sounds like a cliche but our youth group is a place where you can be yourself and enjoy the company of other young people who want to have good fun!The N.Y.I meets on Sunday evenings after the Church service, approximately 7.30, and caters mainly for young people who are in high school and those in their early twenties. We currently have around 15-20 people who attend on a Sunday evening. We have spiritual and social events. We meet during the week for a bible study. Some young people had the opportunity to do the Alpha course and more recently have been studying the Purpose Driven life.

We meet socially and do various activies. During the summer months we will go camping, take day trips to the beach, go to Alton Towers, London or will just go somewhere local as a youth group. We have our annual youth holiday in August and is organised on a district level. It’s an excellent oppotunity for the local youth groups around the British Isles (and beyond) to gather together for a week.

The spiritual focus of the youth group is to encourage the youth to have an on going relationship with God and to build a strong and firm faith. We also actively encourage relationship building and friendships, providing a safe environment for young people to be able to express themselves not only on spiritual matters but also on day-to-day aspects of living in today’s society.

We have a great youth group who would welcome you! If you would like to join us some time, we promise we won’t crack an egg over your head (at least not on your first visit!!!)
