Sunday School 2

The Woodside church of the Nazarene has a long tradition of providing activities for children in the Woodside community. The first outreach of the church into the Woodside community over forty years ago was a children’s work. Today we have three regular activities for children: a Brownie pack, a Sunday school and a children’s club on a Friday night.Sunday School meets at 11.00 every Sunday morning, but most people who go to Sunday School also join in with the first half hour of church from 10.30 until 11.00.

Kids FirstIn Sunday School we have a great time singing, hearing Bible stories, drawing and making things. Refreshments are provided. Every summer we have a special activity for one week in the summer holiday our Holiday Club. Everyone (adults included) has a lot of fun with games, singing, drama painting, making things and competitions. We have about seventy children in the club each year, and everyone has a really great time! On the Sunday following the summer club we invite parents to come and see what we have been doing during the week. Look out for the publicity at the church in July.

The Friday Club is a programme geared for all children of Primary school age. The club starts at 6.30pm and lasts for one hour. Activities include singing, craft, games and stories, juice and biscuits. Subscription 50p per week.
